HPC-Cluster based on Intel Xeon 5500 CPU

MEGWARE is increasing their range of products just in time with Intels launch of the newest Xeon processors. The new CPUs of the Xeon 5500 series,  which is based on the current Nehalem architecture and featured by their high performance and power efficiency, is suitable for High Performance Computing and Supercomputing.

The popular MEGWARE SlashFive Cluster Systems reached an imposing performance improvement in the first benchmark tests with hundrets of processor cores in contrast with previous systems. The cluster nodes may be configured with the electricity saving DDR3 memory modules insteat of FB-DIMM memory modules. Therefore the memory bandwidth of the nodes is increased for more than 100 % and latency between CPU and memory less as well.
