University of Greifswald awarded MEGWARE the contract to install a hot water-cooled high-performance computer
The University of Greifswald has pursued a strategy of creating a ‘CO2-neutral university’ since 2012. The university datacentre (URZ) introduces innovative, technical measures to substantially cut CO2 emissions. The waste heat from ‘Brain’, the new HPC system that MEGWARE installed, is fed into the district heating circuit in the datacentre building to ensure efficient downstream use of surplus thermal energy.
