In 1996 the Max Planck Institute for Dynamics of Complex Technical Systems was established. The institute in Magdeburg is the first institute of the Max Planck Society dedicated to the engineering sciences and is supposed to bridge the gap between basic research and industrial applications. The main research activities are focused on the analysis and synthesis, the design and control of processes in chemical and bio-engineering.

MEGWARE delivers another 32 nodes for the cluster system at MPI Magdeburg. The nodes are equipped with Intel Xeon X5650 2,66 GHz. For current distribution MEGWARE ClustSafe is used.
