MEGWARE sponsors racing team of TU Bergakademie Freiberg

50 students of TU Bergakademie Freiberg have one goal: within one year, they want to build an electric racing car and take part in this year's Formula Student. The Formula Student is a student design competition for university teams from around the world. The challenge is to develop a formula racing car that complies with strict technical and economic regulations. For more than 12 years, the Racetech Racing Team of TU Bergakademie Freiberg has been an established player in this competition. The team consists of students studying mechanical engineering, electronics and sensor materials, industrial engineering or materials science in Freiberg. Between lecture hall, seminar and library, they use every free minute to develop and manufacture the seventh electrically powered racing car - the RT12. This is to be completed in summer 2018 to participate in three international competitions in Hockenheim (Germany), Spielberg (Austria) and Barcelona (Spain).

MEGWARE supports the Freiberg students in the current season with two sponsored servers, which can now be used for complex simulation and calculation challenges. The Racetech team is happy about the support of the HPC specialist. Tobias Pfennig, Sales Director at MEGWARE, is thrilled: "The professionalism and passion of the student team are very impressive. Innovations and technical progress are of course very important to us. Hence, we are pleased to make a small contribution to this project."

We wish the Racetech Racing Team good speed!
