MEGWARE Computer Vertrieb und Service GmbH develops and markets products, services and solutions for digitalisation in research, development and education. Building on a deep under-standing of our customers’ needs, our offerings stand out for their high degree of customisation and flexibility. Our motivated and qualified employees with their many years of experience, careful project planning and extensive quality assurance measures guarantee that the individual nature of our products and solutions never comes at the expense of our customers’ high de-mands for quality and reliability.
Our commitment to quality begins as early as the quotation phase, as we only consider selected technologies and components from renowned partners as building blocks for our solutions – ones whose quality and performance we have verified for ourselves. In our production facility, we not only carry out systematic component tests, but also install every complete system ready for operation and test it in detail before delivery. Extensive stress tests give us confidence that all components used will withstand the demands of many years of 24/7 operation. Since defects can never be entirely ruled out, despite careful component selection and thorough testing, professi-onal service is particularly important to us. Alongside fast response times, our top priority is to support our customers throughout the entire service process with personal, competent staff members from our engineering team.
We are aware that our work always has a direct impact on the environment. Without energy, lo-gistics and packaging material, a production-oriented service provider like us could not sustain its operations. We meet this responsibility by acting in an environmentally conscious and energy-efficient manner and by using the available resources sparingly and sensibly. Right from the stra-tegic planning and development of energy-efficient products, we take care to avoid environmen-tal impact and to use resources sustainably and purposefully. Our development team relies on solution concepts in which the components are designed for maximum computing performance combined with high energy efficiency. These include energy-saving server components, efficient cooling systems and resource-efficient climate control concepts for data centres. In addition, we work with our suppliers to better document and continuously improve the environmental impact of the entire life cycle of our material-intensive technology – from development, manufacturing and operation through to decommissioning. Naturally, we also support our customers at the end of our products’ service life with environmentally sound disposal and recycling.
Within our environmental efforts, climate action is particularly important to us. As a provider of high-performance computing technology, we bear a dual responsibility: for the greenhouse gas emissions of our own operations – for example from production, stress testing, buildings and lo-gistics – and for the energy demand of our systems once they are in use at our customers’ sites. To make our contribution measurable, we will compile a greenhouse gas inventory of our direct and energy-related indirect emissions (Scope 1 and 2) by the end of 2027. On this basis, we will set concrete reduction targets at regular intervals and review our progress annually as part of our management system.
We are committed to conscientiously complying with the highest quality and environmental standards and with all applicable laws, regulations and technical standards for product safety, occupational health and safety, IT security and data protection. Furthermore, we regularly and critically review our processes and procedures in order to continuously improve the quality of our products, services and solutions as well as our environmental performance.
We are aware of our great responsibility towards our customers, employees, business partners and policymakers, as well as the people in our home region of Chemnitz and the surrounding area, and we want to earn their trust that quality and environmental protection truly matter to us. Our management system, certified according to ISO 9001:2015 for quality management and ISO 14001:2015 for environmental management, ensures that recurring workflows are systematic, transparent, reliable, legally compliant and environmentally sound. It also supports us in our commitment to continuously reviewing and optimising our processes.
