What happens when ore meets Orion? OREON!
Yesterday, the new compute cluster at TU Bergakademie Freiberg (TUBAF) was officially inaugurated, with our Managing Director André Singer joining the celebration.
Inspired by Freiberg’s rich mining heritage and the vastness of the universe, OREON represents an important step towards the future of scientific research.
The new supercomputer will provide researchers and students with powerful computing resources for machine learning, artificial intelligence and a wide range of scientific applications. These include simulations in fluid and structural mechanics, as well as research in geophysics.
