692 years, 122 days and 4 hours – this large number corresponds to the computing power, we have donated so far.
As a World Community Grid volunteer we run scientific applications as part of our 7 day 24/7 cluster burn-in test. This helps us to find faulty hardware and scientists to solve the world’s biggest problems. For example we contributed to searches for more effective treatments for cancer, looking for low-cost water filtration systems or new materials for capturing solar energy efficiently.
By now, the initiative has supported 31 research projects and we are happy to be a part of this important research initiative.
